New business area!

Urbanista Stad opens a new Analytics business area which will focus on electrified mobility together with Gijs van der Poel.

We see that society is facing new types of issues with the transition towards fossil-free vehicle fleets and increased electrification. Therefore, this business area feels right at the time. Gijs works on behalf of municipalities, energy companies and corporate clients. He has developed analyses, models, and strategies that formed the basis of their investment decisions regarding charging infrastructure and the transition to a fossil-free future.

I would call myself a geek in the subject, who is passionate about working with my clients and giving them answers to the questions they previously thought were too complex.

Urbanista Stad now has the business areas Mobility, Urban Planning & Property Development and Analytics. Gijs van der Poel will be involved in shaping Analytics from the ground up as business area manager. He moves to Sweden together with his partner from Utrecht, the Netherlands. They will live in southern Sweden where the Analytics department will be based. Gijs has had his own consulting company in the Netherlands for several years, has more than ten years of experience in the industry, and we see that he will bring a lot to Urbanista Stad.

Gijs has a unique competence in electrified mobility, he has experience that is worth its weight in gold and he is not afraid of new challenges. He complements us in a good way and strengthens our international profile.
